Our Year 6 students celebrated the end of their time at East Harptree Primary School with a special lunch and a water fight!
The KS2 Summer Production "Cinderabba" as a huge success.

At the end of January Otter Class enjoyed a trip to @Bristol to explore in more depth their Science topic, Earth and Space. We had loads of fun exploring the activities and watching the 3D Planetarium show!
Otters were engrossed in studying important Islamic symbols and buildings and then describing it for their partner to try and draw!

Years 5 & 6 took a trip to the Lifeskills Centre - always a fun & valuable day.
Bristol - Otters studied our local city of Bristol and researched the famous graffiti artist, Banksy! They designed some wonderful artwork with messages and images linked to their personal interests. They look brilliant!

KS1 children enjoyed getting their hands muddy, planting potatoes. Fingers crossed for a bumper crop!

Our KS1 classes enjoyed a spring walk into Harptree Combe. The bluebells were out and our butterflies released.
This term the first outing was to BBC Bristol - very interesting!
Josh Eggleton & his sister Holly from the Pony & Trap in Chew Magna came to inspire our budding chefs with a brilliant cooking demonstration. Dance Festival 2016
Year 1 & 2 enjoyed a great trip to Tesco at Midsomer Norton to learn about where our food comes from.
The sun shone as the children enjoyed this year's village pancake race.
Thank you to everyone who gave up their time on Saturday and assisted us in clearing the pond area. It was hard work but will make a massive difference to the space available in our grass playground. We even found the Gnome!
In Science, KS1 made delicious quiches to show how materials can change when heated.
We began our Viking topic by being lucky enough to have a Scandinavian visitor, Kenastyriseh who told us many facts about his past. We were then able to come up with ideas about what we would like to know about the Vikings.
In Literacy we have been using the book Fantastic Mr Fox to look at creative writing techniques. Here we are planning some role play in groups. We then performed our scenes to the class and became Mr Fox so the class could ask Mrs Booth questions.
