Parents and carers of Bishop Sutton, East Harptree CofE, Stanton Drew, Ubley CofE & Winford CofE Primary Schools have this week been invited to comment on a proposal regarding education in the Chew Valley. These schools have agreed to commence consultations about Academy conversion and joining a Multi-Academy Trust as a cluster. Chew Valley School joined Lighthouse Schools Partnership (LSP) on February 1st 2018, with the intention of the primary schools joining later.
The current members of LSP are Gordano School, Backwell School and 14+ primary-phase schools from Portishead through to Backwell. It is anticipated that there may be more schools within the trust in the future.
Parents have been invited to join in with the consultation process to learn more about Academy status and Lighthouse Schools Partnership. Final decisions will not be made until after the consultation has closed on 20 June 2018.
For further details please see the attached documents below.
The consultation period is from Wednesday 9th May to Wednesday 20th June.
You may also wish to send comments or questions to Mrs Dagger (our clerk to governors) via the school office: 01761 221492 or using the school email address: email@example.com
Parents are invited to a meeting at Chew Valley School library on Tuesday 12th June at 19:00. Key people will be in attendance including Gary Lewis, CEO of the Lighthouse Schools Partnership who will give a presentation and will be available afterwards to answer any questions you may have.
